Claude adds a read-only Personal Finance beta that connects to bank and card accounts
Anthropic announced Personal Finance in Claude on Nov. 5, rolling out in beta that week on the Pro, Max and Ultra plans in the US. People link bank and card accounts through Plaid and ask questions about spending, fees, bills and balances, and Claude can build charts or a calendar of what is due. Access is read-only, so it cannot move money, and Anthropic says chats in the Personal Finance area are not used to train its models.
Why it matters to a business like yours
This is built for personal accounts on individual plans, but staff may try it on the same Claude login they use for work. Decide whether work Claude accounts may ever be linked to a bank account, put the answer in your staff AI rules, and remind people to check any figure against the bank's own app.
