Microsoft says AI is finding Windows flaws faster while many PCs wait weeks to install the fixes

In a Windows blog post on Nov. 5, Microsoft said AI is speeding up how fast security flaws are found, by defenders and attackers alike, and that attackers can study a published fix to build an attack, possibly within hours. Its August data from a sample of business PCs showed fewer than half had installed the month's security update two weeks after release, and about one in four still had not after four weeks.

Why it matters to a business like yours

A front desk PC or a scheduling laptop that sits on old updates for a month is now the easy target. Ask your IT partner how many days your machines take to install security updates, and aim for days, not weeks.
