Build a simple tool your front desk can click through
The job: Turn a sticky note of steps into a screen everyone uses the same way
Claude can build small interactive tools, called artifacts, from a plain description: a new-caller checklist with buttons, an opening and closing checklist, a quick estimate range from your own price list. You don't write any code. Artifacts are on every plan, start private to you, and you choose who can open them.
How
- Write down the questions in order, the way you'd explain them to a new hire, and use the prompt below. If no tool appears, turn on "Create and edit files" in Settings, under Capabilities.
- Test it on three made-up calls and ask for changes until it feels right.
- Share it with the Share button. Everyone who opens it needs a Claude account, so it's a tool for your staff, not your customers.
The prompt to copy
Build a simple new-caller checklist our front desk can click through. The questions, in order: [list them]. Show one question at a time, with Yes and No buttons where they fit, and finish with a short summary I can copy into our notes. Don't save anything; start fresh each time.
What a good answer looks like
A screen a new hire can use on day one that asks the same questions in the same order every time.
The mistake to avoid
Typing real customer details into a tool you haven't tested. Try it with made-up calls first, and keep it from saving anything until you know who can see what it saves.
Sharing rules are on Anthropic's Share artifacts help page.
