How
- Describe the spreadsheet: what goes in each column and what should be calculated.
- Download the file Claude makes and open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Change a number and make sure the totals update.
The prompt to copy
Make me an Excel spreadsheet to track [jobs, orders, invoices...]. Columns: [list]. Add a total for [column] and a summary tab by [month, customer, technician]. Use formulas so it updates when I add rows.
What a good answer looks like
A file that opens cleanly, with totals that change when you change a number.
The mistake to avoid
Trusting the formulas without one test. Change a number and check the total moves.
