Connect your calendar and email, carefully
The job: Find a meeting time or get on top of your inbox without switching apps
Claude can connect to Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive. Connected, it can find a time that works, draft replies and pull a file into the chat, and it asks your OK before it acts. On Team plans, an owner has to switch the connectors on first.
How
- Connect your Google account from Claude's connector settings (on a Team plan, ask whoever owns the account to enable it).
- Start with something read-only, like the prompt below.
- Approve each action yourself, and read anything before it goes out.
The prompt to copy
Look at my calendar for next week and find two one-hour slots on different days that would work for a site visit. Don't book anything yet.
What a good answer looks like
Two real open times, and nothing booked until you say so.
The mistake to avoid
Approving actions without reading them. The approval step only protects you if you read what you're approving.
Copilot works inside Outlook and Teams, and ChatGPT has its own connectors.
