The job: Figure out a feature without waiting on hold for support
Most offices use a small part of what their email, calendar or scheduling software can do. Claude can walk you through a task one step at a time. Name the program and the version you have, and say so when your screen doesn't match.
The prompt to copy
I use [program, like Outlook on Windows or Google Calendar on my phone]. Walk me through how to [what you want to do], one step at a time. Give me only the first step, and wait for me to say "done" or tell you what I see before you give the next one.
What a good answer looks like
Short steps you can follow with the program open, and a new route when your screen doesn't match.
The mistake to avoid
Clicking around when the menus don't match. Programs change their menus; tell Claude what you see, or check the program's own help page.
