Get the to-do list out of meeting notes

The job: Leave a staff meeting knowing who is doing what

Meetings end, everyone nods, and a week later nobody is sure who said they'd call the supplier. Paste in your rough notes and Claude pulls out every task, who owns it and when it's due, so you can send the list while the meeting is still fresh.

The prompt to copy

Here are my notes from today's meeting: [paste]. List every task as what, who and by when. If a task has no owner or no date, put it in a separate list called "Needs an owner" instead of guessing.

What a good answer looks like

A short list you can send to the team within the hour, plus the loose ends nobody picked up.

The mistake to avoid

Letting Claude fill in owners or dates nobody said. Have it flag the gaps, then you decide.

Works the same in ChatGPT and Copilot.
