Paste the real thing, not a description of it
The job: Reply to a customer, vendor or employee
"A customer is upset about a late delivery" leaves Claude guessing at tone, facts and history. The actual email gives it the names, the promises and the mood, so the reply fits.
How
- Copy the whole email or thread, not a summary.
- Remove anything private that doesn't need to be there, like card or account numbers.
- Paste it in and say what you want back.

Here is the email I need to answer: [paste]. Draft a reply that [what you want the reply to do].
What a good answer looks like
A reply that answers what the person actually asked, using their words and details.
The mistake to avoid
Pasting customer details into a personal or free AI account. Use the work account your business approved.
