Answer an online review, good or bad
The job: Reply to reviews quickly without saying something you'll regret
Reviews stay up for years, and a rushed reply to an angry one can do more harm than the review itself. Claude can draft a calm, short reply in a minute. You decide what gets posted.
How
- Copy the review exactly as it was posted.
- Add a fact or two only you know, like what you've already done to make it right.
- Use the prompt, then read the reply out loud before you post it.
The prompt to copy
Here is a review of my business: [paste]. Here's what I know about it: [facts]. Draft a short public reply: thank them, and if they raised a problem, acknowledge it without arguing and offer one way to reach us directly. No excuses, no private details about the customer, under 80 words.
What a good answer looks like
A reply a stranger would respect when they read it next year, with the real conversation moved off the review site.
The mistake to avoid
Posting a reply that argues or shares details about the customer. Keep the back and forth private.
Works the same in ChatGPT and Copilot.
