Save your style once, use it every time
The job: Stop pasting the same instructions into every chat
Claude has Styles: saved instructions for how it writes. It comes with a few presets, like Concise and Formal, and you can create your own from your writing.
How
- In Claude, open the styles menu in the chat box and choose to create and edit styles.
- Create a custom style and add a few samples of your writing, or describe how you want it to write.
- Name it something like "Office emails" and pick it whenever you draft for customers.
The prompt to copy
Write a reply to this customer in my Office emails style: [paste].
What a good answer looks like
Every draft starts close to how you write, without pasting samples or a "don't" list.
The mistake to avoid
Making one style for everything. Customer emails and internal notes usually want different ones.
ChatGPT has custom instructions that do a similar job.
