Think out loud with voice mode

The job: Plan tomorrow or work through a problem when typing isn't handy

Voice mode lets you talk with Claude and hear it answer, like a phone call. It's handy between jobs, parked, when you'd rather talk than type. It's in beta on every plan, works in the phone apps, the desktop app and the web, and saves a written transcript in your chat history.

How

  1. Open the Claude app on your phone and tap the sound wave icon next to the microphone.
  2. Say the prompt below, then talk through tomorrow: the jobs, a customer problem, a decision you keep putting off.
  3. When you're done, check the to-do list in the chat.

The prompt to copy

I'm going to talk through tomorrow. Ask me one question at a time if something's unclear, and when I'm done, give me a to-do list in the order I should do things.

What a good answer looks like

A back-and-forth that feels like talking to a sharp assistant, and a to-do list waiting in the chat afterward.

The mistake to avoid

Using it while driving. Pull over first; the list will wait.

ChatGPT has a voice mode too.
