Turn a voice memo into a proposal
The job: Get a proposal out the same day as the site visit
Talk through the job on your phone while it's fresh: what the customer wants, what you saw, what it'll take. Claude turns the transcript into a clean proposal for you to check and send.
How
- Record a voice memo and get the transcript (most phone recorders offer one).
- Paste the transcript into a chat in your work account, or in your quotes Project.
- Use the prompt, then check every price and promise.
The prompt to copy
This is a transcript of my notes from a site visit: [paste]. Turn it into a short proposal: what the customer asked for, what we'll do, what's included and not included, and the questions I still need answered. Don't invent prices; leave [PRICE] where a number goes.
What a good answer looks like
A proposal that reads well, with blanks where only you know the number.
The mistake to avoid
Letting Claude fill in prices. Leave them as blanks and fill them yourself.
